(For FIT Travelers) For a 4 nights upstream Yangtze River cruise sailing from Yichang to Chongqing, almost all cruise ships don’t go through Three Gorges Dam 5-stage ship-locks, and travelers will board the ship at Yichang Zigui Port (also called Maoping Port). This Yichang Port Transportation Guide may include some useful information . If you plan to arrive in Yichang on embarkation date, and leave Chongqing on disembarkation date:
Cruise Tips: Please don’t worry if you can not arrive in Yichang before 16:00, as in an upstream cruise, the ship doesn’t depart till the late afternoon of Day 2. Even if your flight is delayed, it is OK, as long as you could board the ship before 17:00 of Day 2.
If your dinner on embarkation date is not included in your cruise itienrary, and we suggest you have dinner before going to the Maoping Port. If there is not enough time to have dinner before boarding, you could still have dinner at ship restaurants at extra cost.

At Zigui Port, there are two terminals. One is the old terminal, the other is the new one, and the distance is only about 500 meters. If you take the free cruise shuttle, the shuttle will take you to the right terminal.
The free cruise port shuttles operate 17:30 to 20:00 on a first come first serve basis on your cruise departing date. Travelers could take a free cruise shuttle from any of the following locations to the Yichang Port – Zigui Port (Maoping Port).
This option may not be available in winter season, between December to mid-March.
If you arrive in Yichang by train after 15:00 on cruise departure date, we suggest you take the port shuttle at Yichang East Railway Station.
However, if you arrive in Yichang one day prior to departure date or in the morning, we suggest you go to the OPTION B: Yichang Sanxia Tourist Center to take a free shuttle. As the tourist center is in the city center, and it is more convenient to have lunch & dinner at the nearby Wanda Plaza. The tourist center also provide the luggage storage service.

If you arrive in Yichang early, or take a flight into Yichang, we suggest you take the free shuttle at Sanxia Tourist Center. It is in the city center, and provide luggage storage service (extra cost). It is also convenient to have meals at the Wanda Plaza on the opposite side when dinner on check-in date is not included in your cruise itinerary.
At Yichang Sanxia Tourist Center, the luggage storage service is available daily between 06:30 – 20:00.
Please do NOT leave your travel documents and valuables in your luggage.

We also provide private transfer service to Maoping Port. It is suitble for those who arrive late in Yichang and impossible to take the free cruise shuttle. You don’t have to wait for a taxi, but your personal driver and the air-conditioned vehicle wait for you. Your driver will arrive at the pick-up point in advance and drive you to Zigui Port, and you don’t need to share the vehicle with any other strangers.
